Ceramic artist Sandra McKenzie Schmitt conceives sculptural works with a classic Americana style - often functional, sometimes whimsical, but always timeless. Crafted of high-fired red stoneware, the Rabbit Casserole dish is perfectly functional and safe for the dishwasher, oven, and microwave. An adorable plump bunny rabbit, also sculpted of stoneware, sits proudly atop the casserole lid with a black and white checkerboard pattern. The medium round casserole holds 2.5 quarts, perfect for your main dish served directly from the oven to the table. Dinner never looked so pretty!



Handmade in the USA. Measures approximately 12" tall x 8.5" wide ; holds approximately 2.5 quarts.



Chef Julia Child owned one of Sandra's casserole dishes, which can now be found on display in Child's reconstructed kitchen at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. Coordinating bunny utensil holder and sculpture also available.
