Hand-thrown porcelain tortilla warmer, or vegetable casserole by New Mexico potter R. Rising of Las Cruces. It is microwaveable, lead free, and oven safe. Approximately 5 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. The colour shown is called SANDIA (Sandia means watermelon in Spanish) -- Sandia has 3 bands of colour--black, purple, and red. Fired to 2400F., footed and signed 'Rising, Las Cruces'.
